Nestique Returns & Refund Policy

1. Overview

At Nestique, we are committed to providing high-quality beauty and skincare products and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

This Returns & Refund Policy complies with the:

  • Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”)

  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 (“ECT Act”)

By placing an order with Nestique, you agree to the terms outlined below.


2. Cooling-Off Period for Online Orders

In accordance with Section 44 of the ECT Act, customers may cancel an online order within 7 (seven) days after delivery without providing a reason.

Conditions:

  • The product must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs

  • Products must be returned in resalable condition

Once the returned product has been received and inspected, an appropriate refund will be processed.

Nestique reserves the right to deduct reasonable direct costs incurred in returning the goods where permitted by law.


3. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Under the CPA, customers are entitled to return products within 6 (six) months of delivery if the product:

  • Is defective

  • Is damaged

  • Is not reasonably suitable for its intended purpose

  • Does not match the description or images provided

In these cases, customers may choose between:

  • A repair

  • Replacement

  • Full refund

Nestique will cover reasonable return shipping costs for approved defective or incorrect products.


4. Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong item:

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • The item must remain unused and in original packaging

  • Nestique will arrange collection or return shipping at no additional cost

Once verified, a replacement or refund will be processed.


5. Change of Mind Returns

Outside of the statutory 7-day cooling-off period, returns for change of mind are not automatically guaranteed.

However, Nestique may, at its sole discretion, accept eligible returns within 30 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unused and unopened

  • The item is in its original packaging

  • Proof of purchase is provided

  • The product remains in resalable condition

Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to:

  • A reasonable handling or restocking fee

  • Store credit instead of a cash refund

This does not affect any rights granted under South African law.


6. Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and safety reasons, the following items cannot be returned unless defective:

  • Opened or used skincare or beauty products

  • Hygiene-sensitive products once opened

  • Sale or clearance items

  • Gift cards

  • Products damaged due to misuse, negligence, or improper storage

  • Custom or personalised products

Nestique reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions.


7. Return Process

Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Reason for the return

  • Clear photographs (if applicable)

If your return is approved, we will provide return instructions.

Returns sent without prior approval may not be accepted.


8. Refunds

Once your returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.

Approved refunds:

  • Are processed within 7–10 business days

  • Will be refunded to the original payment method where possible

  • May take additional processing time depending on your bank or payment provider

Shipping fees are non-refundable unless required by law.


9. Exchanges

We currently do not offer direct product exchanges.

If you would like a different item, please:

  1. Return the original eligible item

  2. Place a new order separately


10. Important Legal Notes

Nothing in this policy limits or removes any rights granted to consumers under South African law.

Customers retain all rights provided under the Consumer Protection Act, including the implied 6-month warranty of quality.

Where legally required, refunds will be issued in accordance with applicable consumer protection legislation.
